About Us
Woy Woy Judo Club was formed in 1982 at the Woy Woy Recreation Centre (now known as the Peninsula Community Centre) as a community service. In February 2009 we were relocated due to a restructuring of the Martial Arts Room and are now fortunate enough to be using the Ettalong Senior Citizens Hall.
Our coaches support the students on many levels of training and competition. We have both recreational and elite level athletes training two nights a week, and have ties with clubs in Sydney for further training.
All our Coaches and Committee members volunteer their time to ensure the club keeps running. No club membership fees are charged and training fees are structured to enable both single members and families to be involved in the sport at a minimal cost. Annual Registration to the Judo Federation of Australia is compulsory to cover insurance for all players.
